It started witha bald patch.
Yannai has lived with a chronic illness since she was a young child. It wasn't always easy, but with the help of many others, she made it through. Years of medication left bald patches on her scalp, more than once. That experience sparked an obsession: a hairbrush that cares for the scalp, without damaging it.
The chair
Yannai starts working in the hair industry. Day after day she sees what a brush can do for hair and scalp, and what most brushes don't.
The obsession
Work on Label May begins. Two kinds of bristle, each processed differently, with its own firmness. Beechwood instead of plastic. A brush light enough to use without any strength.
Her own salon
She opens Hairstudio May. Every idea for the brush gets tested where it matters most: in the chair, on real hair, every day.
The brush
Label May launches. First-cut boar bristle for shine, white-tipped nylon pins for the scalp, FSC beechwood for everything plastic can't do. Her biggest project yet.

Part of every brush sold goes to the Label May fund, supporting children who live with a chronic illness, physical or mental. Children like Yannai once was.

Every tree is unique.
Just like a person, every tree has its own colour. So every Label May handle has its own shade. Our beechwood is FSC certified, oiled and finished with a vegan wax, and leftover wood from production is used to heat the beech.
